Oregon Episcopal School

We are nestled on the beautiful campus of Oregon Episcopal School. Our history with the school dates back to 1869.

Our ties with Oregon Episcopal School began when OES was founded by the Sisters of St John Baptist as St Helen’s Hall, a girls’ boarding and day school. In 1964, St Helen’s Hall moved to its Raleigh Hills location and, in 1972, merged with an Episcopal boys’ school and became Oregon Episcopal School. Now an independent, co-ed PreK-12 day and boarding school offering an inquiry-based education, OES teaches about all faiths, but honors its Episcopal roots. OES students think of St John’s as “the Chapel” and the campus is buzzing with young life when they’re present. But on the weekends, things slow down, and we love the serenity of the woods and wetlands around us.

Many of our parishioners are OES alums or parents of students, and we benefit from OES’s facilities and our shared infrastructure. Our Rector serves on the OES Board of Trustees as does the Episcopal Bishop of Western Oregon. OES students served in both cast and crew of our original musical, The Voice of One. Annual student winners of our music scholarship program perform in our worship services and in other musical productions. Every year, we host OES Sunday, where we join choirs, and this year, our animal blessing!

The OES Mission:
