Liturgical Ministries

A liturgical ministry in the Episcopal Church is a ministry that helps lead, support, and participate in the church’s worship services. Liturgical ministers help make worship organized, meaningful, and welcoming for the congregation.

Acolytes

In the Episcopal Church, acolytes are lay ministers who assist the clergy during worship services. Their core duties include carrying processional crosses, lighting and extinguishing candles, helping prepare the altar for Holy Communion, and managing the Gospel book during readings. SIGN UP

Altar Guild

The Altar Guild is the behind-the-scenes team that makes worship possible. We procure, set up, and lovingly care for all the supplies needed for our sacraments—linens, candles, vessels, wine, bread, and more. SIGN UP

Flower Guild

The Flower Guild brings color and life into our worship by purchasing and arranging flowers for Sunday services. Their beauty lifts our hearts and honors God week by week. SIGN UP

Funeral Guild

The Funeral Guild offers loving support to families during times of grief. We prepare the church for services, greet and assist guests, and help create a space of reverence, dignity, and care. SIGN UP

Holy Rollers

The Holy Rollers are on the move every Sunday at the 10:00 am Mass (October–May), ferrying saints and sinners alike from the parking lot to the church doors in style—especially when the rain is pouring and the wind is howling. SIGN UP

Lectors

The Ministry of the Lector is to proclaim the Word of God by reading from both the Old and New Testament at church services throughout the year. Lectors are not required to be licensed and anyone with a love of Scripture and a good speaking voice can be a Lector after a short training session. SIGN UP

Morning Prayer

Episcopal Morning Prayer tends to be quiet, reflective, and highly structured. Much of the service is made up of Scripture, spoken responses, and prayers. The congregation participates by reading together, responding to the officiant, standing or sitting at appropriate times, and sometimes singing hymns or canticles. Morning Prayer is conducted over Zoom. SIGN UP

Wedding Guild

The Wedding Guild helps couples and families celebrate one of life’s most joyful moments. We prepare the church, assist clergy and wedding parties, and ensure that the service unfolds with grace and delight. SIGN UP

Videographers

Our Videographer Team makes it possible for worship to reach beyond the walls of the church. By recording and streaming Sunday services, we share God’s Word with homebound parishioners, online visitors, and all who long to join in our worship. SIGN UP
